The spirit of travel
Set off on a sports trip to Chile, discovering two regions with contrasting landscapes: the Lakes region and Patagonian Chile. This itinerary combines several outdoor activities, including rafting, hiking, sea kayaking and trekking, to explore the country's natural spaces at the pace of adventure. Your journey begins in Puerto Varas, a small town located on the banks of Lake Llanquihue, facing the Osorno volcano, whose silhouette recalls that of Mount Fuji in Japan. In this region, you enjoy varied activities: a rafting descent on the turquoise waters of the Río Petrohué, a hike on the flanks of Osorno volcano and a sea kayaking excursion in the Chilean fjords, accompanied by an English-speaking guide.
You then head to southern Chile by domestic flight, towards Puerto Natales, the gateway to Torres del Paine National Park. This second part of the journey is devoted to the W circuit trek, a hiking itinerary renowned for the diversity of its mountainous and glacial landscapes.
As you trek, you discover the imposing Grey glacier, the Paine Grande massif, the rock formations of Cuernos del Paine and the famous Torres del Paine, three granite towers that dominate the landscape.
Between outdoor activities, discovery of Chilean landscapes and immersion in Patagonian nature, this itinerary invites you to experience an active and varied adventure, at the heart of two emblematic regions of Chile.

After a private transfer from your hotel to Santiago airport, you take your flight to Puerto Montt in southern Chile. Upon arrival, a driver welcomes you and takes you by private vehicle to your hotel.
In the afternoon, you set off on a half-day rafting excursion on the Petrohué River. As you descend, you enjoy the thrills of this whitewater activity, in the heart of the region's natural landscapes.
After this experience, you share a convivial moment around a beer accompanied by sopaipillas and pebre, two Chilean specialties, to regain your strength after your rafting descent.

Hiking on Osorno Volcano
Today, you set off on a private half-day hike on the slopes of a volcano, accompanied by a Spanish-speaking guide. As you walk, you discover the volcanic landscapes of the region and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding reliefs and natural spaces. An excursion that allows you to explore this environment at your own pace, accompanied by your local guide.

Sea kayaking in Chile's first fjord
Today, you set out on a group day excursion in sea kayaking, to discover the coastal landscapes of the region. As you navigate, you paddle on crystal-clear waters, while admiring the natural scenery that borders the coastline. This outing also allows you to observe local fauna and flora, in an environment conducive to discovery. A day dedicated to nature and outdoor adventure, to explore the coast differently, closer to its landscapes.

Departure to Patagonia
After a private transfer from your hotel to Puerto Montt airport, you take your flight to Punta Arenas, in southern Chile. Upon arrival, you take a shuttle bus to Puerto Natales, a town located in the heart of Chilean Patagonia landscapes. Once in Puerto Natales, a driver welcomes you to arrange your private transfer to your hotel. You can then settle in comfortably and enjoy this new stage of your journey.

Puerto Natales – Torres del Paine National Park
This morning, you leave Puerto Natales heading towards the village of Cerro Castillo, an important livestock breeding center in the region. Every year, in November, herds from the surrounding estancias gather there for annual shearing, a tradition linked to pastoral activity in Patagonia Chile. You then continue your route across the vast expanses of Patagonian pampas to reach the national park Torres del Paine. Your journey takes you to the shores of Lake Pehoé, where you board a catamaran crossing through the park's landscapes.
In the afternoon, you set off on a hike towards Lake Grey. Halfway through, you discover your first panoramic view of the impressive Grey Glacier and icebergs drifting on the lake's surface.
You end this day in the heart of Torres del Paine's glacial landscapes and spend the night at the campsite, near Grey Glacier.

Grey Glacier Trek
Today, you set off to discover Grey Glacier, one of the main glaciers of Chilean Patagonia. This imposing tongue of ice, approximately 30 kilometers long, originates from the South Patagonian Ice Field, a vast ice field that extends nearly 400 kilometers along the Andes cordillera. It constitutes one of the planet's main freshwater reserves, after Antarctica and Greenland.
You then meet up with your guide to prepare for your hike on Grey Glacier. After a presentation of how the activity will unfold, you equip yourself with the necessary gear: crampons, helmet, ice axe, and harness.
You embark on approximately 15 minutes of navigation on the Grey Glacier, to reach a rocky islet called a nunatak, located in the heart of the glacier. A walk of approximately one hour on this islet then allows you to access the ice. Before beginning your exploration, your guide explains the safety guidelines to you, particularly the techniques for moving with crampons. You then begin your walk on Grey Glacier, discovering its glacial formations and cavities with bluish hues.
In early afternoon, you head back by taking the same route as the previous day.
Meals included: breakfast, snack, and dinner.

Vallée Frances
This morning, you leave the turquoise waters of the Pehoé Lake to reach the Francés valley, located on the famous W circuit of Torres del Paine national park, one of the most popular hiking routes in the region. You skirt around Bariloche point to reach Skottsberg Lake, before continuing your hike towards the valley entrance. Along the way, you enjoy panoramic views of the Cuernos del Paine, recognizable by their granite needles topped with layers of dark sediments.
You then arrive at the foot of the Cuernos, from where you admire the imposing ridge of Paine Grande, the highest massif in Paine, reaching 3,050 meters in altitude. You also have the possibility to climb further into the valley to enjoy viewpoints over the surrounding lakes. Your hike in Torres del Paine national park continues through a forest, before beginning a long descent towards Nordenskjöld Lake.
You end this day at Cuernos camping, located on the edge of the lake, where you spend the night.

Lago Nordenskjold
Today, you set off on a hike along Lake Nordenskjöld, in the heart of Torres del Paine national park. Throughout the route, you enjoy panoramic views of the other side of the Cuernos del Paine, whose imposing rock formations dominate the landscape.
With a bit of luck, you may observe condors taking advantage of air currents along the cliffs. This mineral environment is dotted with coigües, a species of southern beech, and large shrubs of ciruelillo, also called notro, which are covered in flowers in November.
You continue your hike to a fork, where you head towards Ascencio Valley. After crossing the river, you reach the Las Torres complex, the final stage of your hike.
You spend the night at Torres camping, in the heart of the mountainous landscapes of Chilean Patagonia.
Meals included: dinner.

Mirador Las Torres
Today, you are starting the last day of your trek on the W circuit, in the Las Torres valley, in the heart of Torres del Paine national park. You head up the Ascencio river, before crossing the lenga forests, which are among the oldest in the park. Your hike continues with a climb of approximately one hour to the foot of the moraine.
You then follow the moraine for approximately 45 minutes to reach the Mirador Las Torres, one of the emblematic viewpoints of the national park. Facing you stand the three granite towers Norte, Central and Sur, whose imposing vertical walls dominate the glacier and the surrounding landscapes.
After a lunch break in this mountainous setting, you begin your descent into the valley to rejoin the Las Torres complex.
You finally take the bus to Puerto Natales, marking the end of your trek on the W circuit in Chilean Patagonie.

See you soon!
Today, you are leaving Puerto Natales, in Chilean Patagonia, to reach Santiago, the capital of Chile. A transfer from your hotel to the Puerto Natales airport is organized to allow you to take your flight to Santiago.
